last night was a good night. went out with dixie, gina and aleena. we decided that after a drink at shooters, it was time for the cadillac ranch. (i love pg bar names) anyways we went there and i think everyone and their dog was out last night. First person i see was.....MAD DAWG!!! also known as Chris Madden. Great guy. Its been eons since i have seen him. good times good times. i saw ayla who is just back from New York. saw so many people i cant even start. we danced the night away.. gina brought the air guitar out and let me tell you...she is a pro! i think she must have been practicing...we met a few interesting people. "i can taste date rape..there is none in there" ...aleena pointed out this light in the bar that makes everyone look fantastic...they walk through that light and its like oh wow you are hot, and then you get past the light and its like oh maybe not so hot...it was funny...and so many people looked good in that light...we ended up shutting down the cadillac...dix wasnt too happy, as it was only 0215, and bars in pg are open till at least 0300. that is a good 45 minutes gone!! anyways tonight is colins surprise birthday party, so its going to be fun! HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLIN...who knows...tomorrow night is dinner with kayleen and randie. and that could turn into some fun dancing..anyways must run along now, as i have to go help breanne...

j'ai mal a la tete

so today i went out for lunch to earls and it was quite scrumptious...or however you spell it...and after that it was time to get a gingerbread latte..."tall gingerbread latte half sweet made with soy no whip"...and it was delicious...i have been getting starbucks at the airports and they just arnt as good as starbucks at a "real" starbucks...so i go to breannes, and i am getting out of the car and let me tell you..icey driveway...im wearing my grandma shoes that arnt the best for grippies, but hey they do the job...anyways first foot out the door, and im doing great, second foot out the door and there i go..hit my head on the corner of the door, and i think i regained myself a bit but let me tell you...my head is pounding...if only i could have gotten it on video... note to self..be careful when getting out of vehicles...some of my gingerbread latte was lost in the accident, but we were able to recover a bit of it...

i then went to get my hair cut, and she was washing my hair and hit the goose egg...it felt absolutely bloody fantastic...(that was sarcasm)

i still have a mal a la tete....but im sure tomorrow it will be better...

i did get a fabulous hair cut though

its beginning to look a lot like christmas...

so here they are...these are my glasses! i picked up this morning...the frames are a bit dated but hey it happens...JUST KIDDING!!! the glasses are my dads old ones that i put on as a joke...i still havent received my glasses, and i wont until probably the new year, as they are in calgary and i am not!

anyways its nice to be in a city where there is snow...didnt think i would ever hear myself saying that, but it doesnt really feel like christmas in calgary because there is NO snow...so as my title says....its beginning to look a lot like christmas...oh happy times..

my flight home was pretty uneventful...aside from the whole 0400 check in, it was pretty smooth...i dont remember any of the flights because i was fast asleep...the guy sitting beside me said i looked funny because whatever the plane did, my body just followed...apparently it was quite turbulant...i love that i can sleep through that...hell i work through it!!!

today i had a nice relaxing day...went over to bre's and looked after carsen while she took sara to school..carsen and i had a great power nap and then i was woken up to bre bringing home lunch! cant complain at all!! anyways just on my way back to her house to hit the hot tub...ahhh tough life i live here in pg!!

this is garbage...

so its 10 pm and i am sitting here and i just got a phone call telling me that my flight has 2 open seats on it...so i now have to be at the airport at 0330-0400ish to check in so i can guarentee myself getting on the flight...and i might have not even started packing yet...which now means that i probably wont even go to bed...i guess i can take a power nap....ahh how great it is to try and fly home at christmas time...

had a great day with teaghan of nails and devil wears prada....love it!!

so on my pairing with trevor and wanda, we started talking about funny quotes from movies...we came up with a few...the whole pairing we started saying "ello wanda" in this funny accent...its from a show but i honestly cant remember at this time of night...the other hilarious one, that we suggested trevor NOT say to his wife when they were fighting was..."you shut your mouth when you are talking to me"...if anyone has seen wedding crashers you will understand...its at the beginning of the movie, when the divorcing couple is fighting....anyways back in cowtown, for a day..then off to PG for CHRISTMAS and then off to abby to see EJ and J MAN and RY and the new niece and my brother and sister in law and auntie m and uncle t, and oh i could keep going but im going to stop...I cant beleive christmas is in 6 days...INSANE...oh well at least i got my shopping done!

saw theeeeeee funniest thing ever today...this car was backing up a t the airport...for those who dont know it is a smart car, anyways and that is seriously what the liscence plate said...i am STILL laughing about it...my tank...whoever did that should consider themselves a genius...i mean look at the size of it...anyways its way too stinkin late here...

So does anyone else agree that i might just blow away?? OR that it is going to be INSANELY bumpy out of pg in the morning...im going to go with the INSANELY bumpy. oh by the way for those of you who didnt know, i am in pg on a quick little lay over...just went to see the holiday with dix, and i must admit it was pretty good...bit on the girly side, but hey the girly the better...

here is a revelation that i am still pondering..any insight would be greatly appreciated haha...
so today we took over an aircraft in calgary, that had just came from grande prairie...which of course in gp is a BIT snowy and icey so they have been using salt on the ramp area...understandable, anyways so that salt is then tracked into the cabin of the aircraft...so in the galley, it isnt carpet and the salt residue stays on the floor of the galley...the point of my story is, we were off to kelowna and when we landed, it was wet in kelowna, and the water was tracked into the galley and the aircraft...the water and the salt then somehow formed to turn the galley into a skating rink...im not even kidding...the galley was SO slippery, a FA i was working with fell flat on his ass...and all the guests were slidding around...so my pondering is....how come if salt is suppose to melt ice and make it NOT slippery, did this combination turn into a skating rink...and for all those people out there, NO the galley was not wet..the water had dried and with the salt turned into this...just curious...all of us FA's and PILOTS (for those of you who think pilots know everything;)) were pondering this all day...any answers would be greatly appreciated..

anyways must get off to bed now..too much pondering for one day and since it is almost 11 pm here in pg and i have been up since 2 am pg time i think its time for bed...ohh and that 0515 wake up isnt going to help:P have a good night everyone!

off for 4 days...

so im off tomorrow morning at 0515...up to good ol fort mac, and then back to cowtown to sit for 3 freakin hours...then off to winterpeg and then toronto..in pg for one night and then back to cowtown for a few days before im off for the holidays...i picked the glasses that i posted below in the black..i think they will look good..i got told i look like a school teacher in them..maybe that will be my new profession after flight attendant...anyways everyone have a good weekend...if anything eventful happens on the road you know you will be hearing about it...

4 eyes...thats right...i need glasses...it was confirmed today at the eye doctor...so now i am on a mad rush to get them, so i can get rid of these migraines that i seem to be getting on a daily basis. now apparently, i have a VERY small face, so its going to be hard to find glasses that fit...the girl at iris, said i was going to need to get kids she thought (she was joking but still) ...so nope cant get any of the funky glasses that i dream about getting...just a boring pair of glasses...which i now wear for work, driving, movie theaters, but not for reading...(THAT MAKES SENSE) anyways so the glasses that are above are the ones that i tried on..they come in black fushia, which would mean black on the outside and pink on the inside...which i do enjoy because i LOVE pink...last night i had a great night...got to talk to my jojo for almost an hour..we had way too much to catch up on...cant wait to see her in almost a week!!!! then i went off to beckys to watch the devil wears prada....great show...anyways im off now to find a pair of glasses that will work for me..wish me luck!!

jill is in town right now, so we went out for dinner and had a splendid time..

i also went out with christie today for a bit...that was fun.
we bought me a new phone for my house.
we are both very funny shoppers..if things catch our eyes, we just stop and dont tell the other person..we both do it so i guess it works out...

a few more days and then im back in pg...running out christmas cards, seeing all the friends and family...oh it could get stressful...just kidding...looking forward to it...

wing wednesday...NOT

ok so..its been a bit of a long week, and i had a bit of stressful day today...decided to go do some retail therapy and let me tell you..it always works so well..

anyways so after a nice day of shopping with rebecca, (pants, sweater and 2 shirts later) i decided it was time to call it a day..i dropped by brandons on my way home to say hi, and then we decided since it is wing wednesday we would go out...i was just told it is apparently actually monday but that just makes my story so much better....

so we leave brandons to go to my hosue so i can drop off my shopping and what not, and we drive to my house....in brandons car...we get to my house and as im walking up the stairs i say..."wouldnt it be funny if i forgot my keys???"

well apparently we were in for a laugh, because keys were no where to be found...looked through the purse...shopping bags...im sitting on the steps laughing my ass off...so we get back in the car and drive back to brandons...we had some lovely chats...and then we get to his house and discover my keys, in my car, with the door unlocked...

so if anyone wants to steal a car...steal mine..i make it easy for you...

moral of the story??? kerry has had a rough day! now im going for wing wednesday...just kidding...wing monday! enjoy!

home sweet home

well i am home for 4 days...and then i will have an early morning check in of 515...thats inhumane...

my pairing of red eyes wasnt that bad... i had an alright crew, fun part of my pairing was running into lisa and cady in the airport on friday night..it was so much fun!! the first night of red eyes, sucked...they ended up making us work to vancouver instead of just sitting in the back to vancouver, and i was really relying on that one hour of sleep...lol...anyways other than that it was pretty much a mellowed out pairing..

now today i am off to market mall to finish up my shopping...should be an alright day! i really dont have much to blog about...so until i do thats all...

im leaving on a jet plane....

so yesterday teaghan and i went for lunch and then we decided we needed some ice cream...well we went to dairy queen and these are the ice cream cones they gave us...i think they might be 2 of the most unattractive looking ice cream cones EVER...they were dripping every where as well...the ice cream was almost falling out of the cone....the lady who took our order asked the girl who made them what happened, and the lady said..."if you can do it better why dont you do it then" come on now...i think i could do it better!! oh well they still tasted good..

so today is friday...i am just getting to ready to leave on a jet plane....ahh my life story! off to good ol toronto for 3 days of red eyes! get the joy of going down to vegas, and staying for 40 minutes...what a tease...

i also have to brave the christmas rush known as christmas shopping. I unfortunately left it all to the last minute and as my blog counter has told me, there is only 17 days till christmas...i did a bit of shopping in hawaii, but not enough... anyways must get to the mall before it turns into crazy soccer moms stealing everything out of my hands....

Addictions

i love days off...they are so relaxing..the first day you literally do nothing..hence its 1534 and i am sitting here in my pjs...

so i added another person to the blogging world..katie...or as i like to call her, cady..haha..we worked together, and she wants me to get a myspace but i made her get a blog. im so awesome..see ej its ADDICTING!!!

i promised cady i would blog about our love for starbucks...i think its pretty damn amazing...cadys drink is Vanilla Soy Non fat half sweet latte... lately i have been hooked on london fogs, made with soy. the calgary airport has been sold out of earl gray, so i havent been able to get them. i told them that they had better hurry up and get some in..DELICIOUS! the peppermint mochas are also pretty damn delicious...i love the christmas drinks. im wondering if addictions run in my family..im addicted to london fogs, and blogging and i know ej is addicted to starbucks and blogging...or maybe just the same things ...ahah...

one other very bad addiction of mine is texting...its quite bad..all i do is text..i would rather text than call someone...i am almost thinking that i need to get texting taken off my phone but then i wouldnt communicate with anyone...so thats a definite no...haha

i think its crazy how people can come into your life and completely alter it..you never know when you are going to meet someone and they will affect you and your life...sometimes the most random hello or hi is going to change everything...and for the better!!

im an aunty

my brother had his baby today! well i guess tanya had the babe,...her name is Madison (her nick name will be maddy) and she was 7 lbs 9 oz. baby and mommy are doing fine. Didnt get a chance to talk to my brother much as he is super busy making all the father phone calls...

i now have 3 days off...most i have had off in a row in a while...ok who am i kidding, i just had 3 weeks vacation, but it feels like i have been working non stop because i went on a 5 day and flew half my months work in 4 days...ahhh im such a whiner....then off to toronto for 3 days of red eyes...yikes..could be interesting, but hey who needs sleep...who am i kidding, i sleep the most out of almost everyone i know.

well im back on the road again...just on a lay over in good ol pg, at the parents house and loving every minute of it...home cooked meals, people to talk to..hotels get old PRETTY quick...

had a great breaky with my crazy side of the family...and in a good way...it was fun...got to hang out with j man, ej and auntie m...i had a great time and it was really good to see you guys..dont worry auntie meg, its all good, its all good...i will post some pictures of us, as soon as erin does, or you could always email them to me eJ!!!!!

interesting people on the planes these days...had one guy fly from calgary to edmonton with us, we went up to fort macmurray and back down, and then he got on our plane back to calgary... bit strange to go to edmonton for just a 2 hours and go in your pajamas. but hey im not judging...
anyways im off to eat my roast beef dinner that my mom made...YUMMY!!!

home sweet home

well after a long 5 days, i am FINALLY home....i get to sleep in my own bed, with my own sheets and cuddle up with my warm duvet..i love my bed... the pairing wasnt as bad as i thought it would be because vancouvers weather wasnt as bad as it could have been...although it was pretty fantastic when i waited 35 minutes for the shuttle to come get me, and then the hotel informs me its not working, and to take a cab so then i wait another 40 minutes for a taxi...in the snow...with no boots...ahhh the life of a flight attendant...but now i am home....finally...after 38 hours of flying...for people who dont know a flight attendants sched, we normally fly only 80 hours in whole month...so 38 in 4 days is quite a bit...one bonus of my pairing was i did get to see the A380...it was pretty cool..HUGE but good..now i have a lovely one day off, which i am going to spend with teaghan, and then i am back to work for 3 days...looking forward to seeing EJ, and then home to pg for a home cooked meal..CANT WAIT!! oh yes...23 days till christmas as you can all tell by my little counter...annnnd i havent even started the shopping..oh how i love myself....EJ i will call you soon...probably sunday afternoonish?? i had a great day on thursday..i unfortunatly missed out on GREYS, but i had a ray of sunshine aha...more on that later!! went for drinks tonight with mr jeff seney...great guy...flys at cma where i use to be...he is now calgary based..yay another friend for me! it was good to see him, as its been about probably 8 months!! lots of catching up!! off to bed now...
