mad world

so i am home..and in one piece with 2 fully functioning ear drums...last night i took a steam shower for about an hour and that seemed to dislodge things a bit..thanks beck for the tips...i felt pretty ridiculous standing over the bathtub but not in it and standing upside down...ohhh hey the hand stand trick actually does work...my F/O told me that when we landed in cuba and i thought he was joking....apparently he isnt...they hadnt completely popped when i went to bed but i got a nice 10 hours of sleep and when i woke up this morning i was pretty worried about flying home, as it was 1100 am this morning and my ears hadnt fully popped...(we landed at 230 the previous afternoon)...i took some advil cold and sinus when i woke up, a sudafed before our 2 hour ground delay for de icing....and then over regina i decided it was time for another...i was pretty drugged up, but hurray my ears didnt hurt when we were on descent...they plugged, but popped as soon as we touched down...it was definitely the day from hell...i was sitting beside this older "larger" man and he was sweating profusely...and then we are in the deicing line up in toronto...which is seriously about 20 airplanes long...and then we get to the de icing pad and we sit more...then the older gentleman fell asleep, and i was at the window seat and halfway through the flight i definitely had to use the washroom, but he was conked out....i had to wait till he woke up...the downfalls of the window seat...at that time i was cursing i didnt take the aisle...the only downfall for me today was that i offloaded last night...steph called me and apparently they went to the airport to operate the ottawa flights, and they were canceled so they got put on a flight back to calgary at 8 am...so they got back to calgary a bit earlier, but hey it happens... now this week i have to go see the airline doctor about my ears because this is the second time they have been acting up...anyways i m going to curl up on my couch and watch a movie...then its back to the gym routine tomorrow...

Joke told today...
this was told over the PA, as we landed into calgary...
"so ladies and gentleman did you know it takes an IQ of 180 to fly this aircraft???"
"thats why we have 2 pilots!!"

Yah yeah the joys of pressure change. Should try flying in the C-51 Hercules. You will soon realize the joys of pressurized flight. I can't believe that "agressive go getter" WestJet Rules Canadain air. I will never ever even if it's the last flight of the month fly Air Canada.
